Rules

 

Article 1

The 44th El Corte Inglés Race is a race on foot, open to everyone, to be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024. Registration is free of charge.

Article 2

The course, certified by the Catalan Athletics Federation, is 10 km through the streets of Barcelona. The start will be from Avenida Diagonal 617 at 9.00 am. The starting point and the starting order must be respected. The finish line will be at Plaça Catalunya and the finish line will close at 11.30 am.

Article 3

The race is open to people of any nationality, federated or not. Each runner participates in this athletic race under his own responsibility and has a sufficient level of physical condition to face the race.

Article 4

Online registration only: until 33,000 runners have registered.
Runners must pick up their bib-chip between Thursday, April 25 and Saturday, May 4, 2024, on the day and in the time slot chosen at registration, at the El Corte Inglés stores in Portal de l'Àngel and Avenida Diagonal.
People with reduced mobility or accompanied by baby strollers or other wheeled devices will have to place themselves in the last positions at the exit of Avenida Diagonal.

Article 5

All participants will be provided with the corresponding dorsal, placed on the chest.

Article 6

Minors born in 2008 may participate with the authorization of one of the parents/guardians and under their responsibility.

Article 7

There are 4 timing controls: at the start, at the finish, at km 5 and at the turn of Marina by Ausiàs March. If any participant does not pass through the checkpoints is disqualified. All participants who start and finish the race will have the digital diploma accrediting their time (provided that they have all the checkpoints between the start and finish).

Article 8

There will be an individual general classification, rewarding the first 3 classified in the male category and the first 3 classified in the female category. For the classifications will be taken into account the time in order of arrival.

Article 9

The only vehicles authorized to follow the race will be those of the organization.

Article 10

The sports and municipal authorities, the Guardia Urbana, Voluntaris 2000 and the Red Cross also collaborate in the organization of La Cursa El Corte Inglés. El Corte Inglés and the rest of the collaborating entities will not be liable for accidents or illnesses contracted or aggravated during La Cursa, nor for any damages that may be suffered by participants or third parties.

Article 11

La Cursa El Corte Inglés will comply with all the preventive measures against the contagion of COVID-19 in force at the time of the race.

The purpose of the processing is to manage your subscription to La Cursa El Corte Inglés, as well as the development of the sports activity. By registering, you accept the rules governing this sporting event.

The legitimacy for the processing of your data is your request to participate in La Cursa El Corte Inglés. The sending of communications about future editions of La Cursa El Corte Inglés is based on the legitimate interest of El Corte Inglés to promote your participation.

Recipients

In some cases, we hire technology companies to develop the website of La Cursa El Corte Inglés, so they can store and process your data for the management of La Cursa. Likewise, it is necessary that we communicate or transfer the information you have provided to us to third parties in order to provide the service you have requested, for example, to logistics, transport and delivery companies and printers. Likewise, your personal information will be at the disposal of public administrations, judges and courts, for the attention of possible liabilities arising from the processing of your personal data.

Authorization of image rights

Participation in La Cursa El Corte Inglés implies the authorization to El Corte Inglés, SA to use the recorded images (video) and photographs taken during La Cursa, and the name, surnames and time of the participants to carry out advertising and/or promotional activities related to La Cursa and future editions, in any format or media (including print ads, television, radio or Internet), with a worldwide territorial scope, for an indefinite period of time and free of charge.

The making of each and every decision regarding the exhibition of the media in which the images, photographs, name, surnames or time will be incorporated will be the exclusive competence and responsibility of El Corte Inglés, which will decide according to its own needs.

The images, photographs, names, surnames or times will not be used for purposes other than those expressed, nor will they be transferred to third parties for any use other than that expressed above.

Article 13

These regulations are subject to possible changes according to sanitary and/or governmental indications and restrictions.

Article 14

The fact of participating in this race presupposes the acceptance of these rules and of the resolutions taken by its organization in the cases that have not taken into account the aforementioned rules.
