Voluntaris 2000, one more year with La Cursa

Voluntaris 2000 is a non-profit organisation that was set up in July 1992 with the aim of perpetuating the volunteer movement that arose during the Barcelona’92 Olympic Games. Since then, it has developed into an association that participates in Barcelona’s public life and actively collaborates in the preparation and organisation of sporting, cultural, civic and social events.

Voluntaris 2000 is made up of a group of people who promote the enthusiasm and excitement of volunteer work, with the aim of promoting knowledge and appreciation of the city. This involves teamwork, effort, solidarity, commitment, responsibility and respect for others, and they offer their time in favour of just causes.

In Catalonia there has always been an important network of volunteers, and Voluntaris 2000 offers the possibility of taking part actively and from the inside in all those events in which they are present.
